Teams are heading to Las Vegas for the 2nd straight year for the 2023 West Coast AAU Football National Championships

LAS VEGAS (January 4, 2023) – Teams are gearing up and heading to Las Vegas to bet on themselves at the 2023 West Coast AAU Football National Championship. Athletes are hoping to hit the jackpot and go home with an AAU National Championship trophy in their luggage.
For the second straight year, the West Coast AAU Football National Championship will be taking place in Las Vegas. With fields only 20 minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip and Allegiant Stadium, home of the Raiders, athletes are ready for a battle in the desert. The West Coast AAU Football National Championships were held in California for 10 plus years prior to making the move to Las Vegas.
Rod Tanner (Texas) and Ron Bellamy (California), Co-Directors of the AAU West Coast Nationals, are very excited about this year's championship.
“We are looking forward to one of the best West Coast Nationals and some outstanding AAU Football."
Thirty-five teams will be joining in on the fun, with teams representing Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, and Texas. The teams will be divided into age based divisions: 6u Flag, 6u, 8u, 10u, 12u, and 14u. These numbers are up from 19 total teams last year, with more competition making the trip and seeking an AAU national title.
Games will be played at PineCrest Sloan Canyon, Pinecrest Academy Cadence, and Clark High School. With 35 total games scheduled on January 14 and championship play kicking off at 9:00 in the morning on January 15, the action will be nonstop all weekend. Joining the West Coast AAU Football National Championships this weekend will be the AAU Football Cheer Grand National Championships. Under the direction of Kym Harris, the cheerleaders will compete on January 14 with a Gala event being held on January 15.
