RECAP: 2018 Battle of the Borders

AAU Football and Cheer ends its 2018 season with a bang at the 2018 AAU Battle of the Borders Game featuring all-star teams from Texas and Arkansas

ARLINGTON, Texas (December 31, 2018)  - More than 2,500 spectators were in attendance for the 2018 Battle at the Border All-Star Game.  The annual Texas vs Arkansas game featured the first-ever sweep in the event’s history by Arkansas.
 

Six games were held at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys on December 30 marking the conclusion of the 2018 AAU Tackle Football and Cheer season.
 

In the, 8u game (6-0), 10u game (12-6) in overtime, in the 12u game the Arkansas AAU All-Stars won 23-12 after a late score by Arkansas sealed the deal.

After a two year run for Texas AAU, the Arkansas program came back strong to stop any ideas of a three peat. In the 6 & under game, the Memphis, Tennessee AAU All-Stars team defeated Arkansas (6-0).

Texas AAU is already working towards preparations for the 2019 edition of the Battle of the Borders event.
